๐Ÿ“ƒ Ingredients of Rechta Algerian

The 10 ingredients to make Rechta are:

  • 400g of rechta (homemade vermicelli)
  • 2 turnips
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 chilli
  • a good handful of chickpeas
  • a stick of cinnamon
  • 2 pieces of chicken or meat
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • salt and pepper

With these quantities, you will be able to serve rechta to approximately 2 people. You just have to adapt these measures according to the number of covers.

How to prepare Rechta Algerian?

You will have a total of 50 minutes, between the preparation and cooking of rechta algerian. Here are the 6 Steps required to prepare this recipe.

Step 1

  • Brown the onion.

Step 2

  • Add the chicken and simmer for 5 minutes to melt the onion.

Step 3

Step 4

  • Add water to the height of the chicken then let simmer well for 30 to 45 minutes (depending on the power of the fire).

Step 5

  • Add salt and a chilli pepper according to taste

Step 6

  • In a plate, place the rechta then the meat and the vegetables on top with the sauce.
