📃 Ingredients of Chamia (Qalb Louz)

The 9 ingredients to make Kalb el Louz with liquid cream are:

  • 3 large semolina bowls
  • 25 centiliter of liquid cream
  • 380g of sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 spoons of orange blossom water
  • 1 glass of vegetable oil
  • 200g of ground and roasted almonds
  • 3 bowls of water
  • 1 bowl of sugar
  • 1 slice of lemon

With these quantities, you will be able to serve kalb el louz with liquid cream to approximately 10 people. You just have to adapt these measures according to the number of covers.

How to prepare Chamia (Qalb Louz)?

You will have a total of 75 minutes, between the preparation and cooking of chamia (qalb louz). Here are the 5 Steps required to prepare this recipe.

Step 1

  • Put the semolina in a large bowl. Add the liquid cream, oil and sweetened condensed milk. Mix all the ingredients well.

Step 2

  • Combine the sugar, water and the lemon slice. Put on the heat for 15 minutes then stop cooking. Add the orange blossom water.

Step 3

  • Preparation of the stuffing. Put the almonds in the oven for 10 minutes Let cool then mix them. Mix the almonds, the sweet concentrate, the cinnamon and the orange blossom water.

Step 4

  • Separate the leg into 2 then spread the first dough in the tray. Add the stuffing then the 2nd dough on top. Cut small portions on the tray before baking then decorate with almonds. Bake at 180 degrees. for 40 minutes.

Step 5

  • Take the tray out of the oven then pour the liquid in 2 batches. Let stand for 4 to 6 hours before tasting.
